The legal field is changing. New lawyers are pouring into the field faster than they can be absorbed. Big law is unable to absorb the influx, so more young lawyers are hanging out their shingles and taking cases that once would have been passed over by new lawyers because there is not enough money in them. While a few years ago it would have been hard to find a lawyer to take your case if you’re a judgment debtor with little to no money, that scenario is changing.
I have seen young aggressive lawyers taking these cases, and going over them with a fine tooth comb looking for statutory violations in writs of execution and writs of garnishment. If they find a violation they will sue the judgment enforcer, and you could find yourself with the tables turned.
